Priscilla Oliveras and Rebecca Heflin are both romance novelists, based right here in Gainesville. Priscilla first started writing in 1990 when she was a young, married, college coed. In 2016 she received her first publishing contract. Her books have been featured on WaPo, Buzzfeed, USA Today, and Entertainment Weekly. They have also been featured in numerous bestseller lists. One of the things that distinguishes Priscilla is that she likes to write her novels with Latinx characters. Rebecca Heflin originally worked in healthcare and law, but started writing not too long after that. In 2011 her book, The Promise of Change, was recognized as a finalist for the Florida Writers Association Royal Palm Literary Award. Her debut novel was also a finalist in 2013 for the Wisconsin Romance Writers Write Touch Readers' Award. Rebecca’s real name is Dianne Farb, and she also runs a non-profit foundation called Climb for Cancer with her husband, Ron Farb.
